1961: The Swiss Stake, the first stake in Switzerland, is organized with Wilhelm Friedrich Lauener as President.
1993: Members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir coordinate the performance of Handel’s Messiah by a Vietnamese choir, accompanied by the National Vietnamese Symphony Orchestra in the Hanoi Opera House.
1998: The Church announces that it will play a key role in establishing a new family-history research facility in the Ellis Island Immigration Museum in New York.
