6 New Temples Announced in General Conference

In the last session of the October 2020 General Conference, President Russell M. Nelson announced six new temples to be built around the world. They are:

  • Tarawa, Kiribati
  • Port Vita, Vanuatu
  • Lindon, Utah
  • Greater Guatemala City, Guatemala
  • Sao Paulo East, Brazil
  • Santa Cruz, Bolivia

This brings the total number of temples announced, under construction, or dedicated to 231. Since becoming the leader of the Church in 2018, President Nelson has announced the construction of 49 new temples.
