8 New Temples Announced by President Nelson

In a surprising moment, President Russell M. Nelson announced eight new temples to be built during the Women’s Session of General Conference. Those temples will be built in the following locations:

  • Freetown, Sierra Leone
  • Orem, Utah
  • Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
  • Bentonville, Arkansas
  • Bacolod, Philippines
  • McAllen, Texas
  • Cobán, Guatemala
  • Taylorsville, Utah

More information will be provided on these temples as it becomes available. Since becoming Church president in January 2018, President Nelson has announced 35 new temples.
