The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites all to “ponder the Savior’s atoning sacrifice and glorious Resurrection” this Easter season.

In the days leading up to Easter Sunday, members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will share messages of Jesus Christ on social media channels.

In addition, the following collected resources found on the Church’s website highlight how to better celebrate this sacred holiday.

New Easter Web Page

A new Easter page at gives many ideas for making Easter more Christ-centered. Also included are resources that can help individuals and families alike learn and grow their testimony of Jesus Christ.

It’s also a good web page to share with friends. The site opens with an explanation of what Latter-day Saints believe about Easter: “Easter is a joyous celebration of what’s possible because of Jesus Christ. Because of Him, we can have a fresh start as we repent and are forgiven for our sins.” Core truths about the Savior and answers to common questions are outlined, and an open invitation to worship services includes a guide to finding a church near you.

Families with children will find a variety of activities to help young ones better understand and celebrate Easter. Simple and engaging crafts and activities are easily printed, and a video from New Testament for Kids tells the Easter story in a way that is easy to understand.

A new, Bible-focused Holy Week study guide provides daily learning experiences in the lead up to Easter Sunday, beginning with Palm Sunday. This resource is a great one for members to share with their friends.

Complementing the Holy Week study guide is the “Because of Him” text and email series, which can be signed up for on the same study guide page. Subscribers will receive prompts that help them “learn how the Savior can help you grow, hold on, love endlessly, and so much more,” according to the site.

Downloadable templates, images and videos make it quick and easy to share the light of Christ with friends and family.

More Easter Resources

Additionally, visitors can study “The Living Christ” and the Easter story in the scriptures, or sit down to view the Tabernacle Choir’s Easter special or other collected videos in the Church’s Media Library. Other study resources include an Easter study plan found in Gospel Library and the Church’s “Come, Follow Me” curriculum, which will focus on Easter during March 25-31.

“Because of Him, we can be guided and strengthened as we bear the burdens we face in mortality,” the First Presidency states in their 2024 Easter message. “Through our faith in the Savior’s atoning sacrifice, the bonds of sin cannot hold us and the trials that we experience in life will have no lasting power over us.

“The sting of death is swallowed up in Christ” (Mosiah 16:8).
