BREAKING NEWS: 3 New Apostles Announced in General Conference

History was made today as three new Apostles were called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles to fill the vacancies created by the losses of President Boyd K. Packer, Elder L. Tom Perry, and Elder Richard G. Scott earlier this summer. The three new Apostles are Ronald A. Rasband, Gary E. Stevenson, and Dale G. Renlund. Learn more about each of these brethren below!

Elder Ronald A. Rasband

From: Salt Lake City, Utah

Current Calling: Senior President of the Presidency of the Seventy

Age: 64

Mission: Eastern States (New York and Pennsylvania)

Profession: President and Chief Operating Officer at Huntsman Chemical Corporation

Married: Melanie Twitchwell in 1973. They have five children and 22 grandchildren.

 

 

 

Elder Gary E. Stevenson

From: Ogden, Utah

Current Calling: Presiding Bishop

Age: 60

Mission: Japan Fukuoka

Profession: Co-Founder and President of an exercise equipment manufacturing company

Married: Lesa Jean  Higley in April 1979 in Idaho Falls Idaho Temple. They have four sons.

 

 

 

 

Elder Dale G. Renlund

From: Salt Lake City, Utah

Current Calling: Presidency of the Africa Southeast Area

Age: 63

Mission: Sweden

Profession: Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah and the Medical Director of the UTAH Cardiac Transplant Program

Married: Ruth Lybbert in 1977. They have one daughter.
