Church Celebrates President Nelson’s 95th Birthday

Latter-day Saints and friends of the faith gathered in Salt Lake City Friday evening to celebrate the 95th birthday of President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The prophet was honored for his life of Christlike service.

If you missed the celebration or want to tune in again, the entire broadcast is available below.

Tributes were given throughout the night from President Nelson’s family, as well as his fellow Apostles. Included in the videos are some never-before-seen footage of President Nelson with his family.

Throughout the celebration, there were musical performances and other tributes. At the end of the evening, President Nelson expressed his gratitude. “I am totally overcome with feelings of love and gratitude,” he said. “From my earliest childhood to my most recent miraculous experience, I acknowledge timely and generous help from heaven.”

“If I have learned anything certain in my 95 years of life, it is that Jesus the Christ is the Son of God. My message to the world is simple and sincere. I invite all of God’s children on both sides of the veil to come unto their Savior, receive the blessings of the temple, have enduring joy, and qualify for eternal life.”
