The Church launched its new Easter initiative today, centered on the theme of “Hallelujah” which will help members and non-members alike learn what this praise of joy really means.
As part of the initiative, a special section of Mormon.org has been created with multiple new videos and ways to share the Easter message.
First, this video headlines the initiative as the true meaning of Hallelujah is described.
Second, a beautifully animated video shows that because Christ has done something so amazing for us, we can show our love by choosing to follow him.
Finally, the Church has created resources focusing on social media. They’re inviting you to use the hashtag #Hallelujah and “share the joy of Easter by posting a photo on social media of a loved one who has passed on—and whom you’re anxious to see again someday.” There are also beautifully animated GIFS that can be shared online. Other features include an interactive chart of Christ’s last week on Earth and way to request a copy of the Bible and learn more.
Most excitingly, the largest virtual choir created featuring the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and your submissions is also live. The virtual choir sings Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. Learn more and watch the full video here!
