In a letter sent to local leaders, the Materials Management Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced a new service to create sacred garments for military members and other officers. Garments previously designed for military members have been discontinued and will no longer be produced. The letter stated that “Those serving as law enforcement officers, firefighters, or in the military often have specific uniform requirements, including associated undergarments. To better meet the needs of uniform requirements, the Church will now provide undergarment marking services free of charge through Beehive Clothing.”
Endowed members are eligible for this new service if they are:
- Members of any branch of the United States military
- Firefighters
- Local, county, state, and federal law enforcement officers
- Members of the equivalent organizations outside the United States
Qualifying members should contact their leaders for the Garment Marking Order form. The form provides multiple options for sending in the appropriate undergarments along with other instructions and restrictions.
