Elder David A. Bednar and Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles shared their personal witness of the reality of Jesus Christ from the Mamertine Prison in Rome, Italy. The dungeon prison is believed to be the place the apostles Peter and Paul were held captive for their preaching of the gospel in ancient times.

“Joyfully, we declare our sure witnesses of the reality of the Lord Jesus Christ. We witness that He lives, that He is the light and life of the world, and the only source of enduring, true joy. We gladly declare this witness in this sacred place,” Elder Bednar shared alongside the video on social media.

Elder Bednar and Elder Rasband are in Italy to begin the public open house of the Rome Italy Temple and have been holding press conferences and other ministering visits throughout the week.
