Elder Dale G. Renlund released a powerful video today discussing suicide.
“Likely everyone knows and loves someone who has experienced suicidal thoughts, attempted suicide, or tragically taken his or her own life. Perhaps you have struggled with those unwanted thoughts and feelings.
My heart aches for you who are struggling, for you who are wondering how to help someone who is struggling, and for you who are left wondering what you could have done to prevent a tragedy. More significantly, your Father in Heaven understands your pain. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, felt it, “that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities” (Alma 7:12).
