In an update from the Church Newsroom, the final report for the Light the World Giving Machines has been released.
Givers worldwide generously donated $6,281,121 to designated charities by purchasing 255,814 items for those in need from Giving Machines. Known for their bright red color and interesting donations, the Giving Machines allowed passerbys to purchase items for both local and international charities as part of the Light the World Christmas initiative. This is the fourth year of operation for the Giving Machines, which were located in ten cities worldwide.
The nearly $6.3 million total is up significantly from 2019, with approximately $2.3 million in donations.
