The Farmington New Mexico Temple is preparing to open its doors to the public and stunning pictures of the interior have been released ahead of the event.
Announced in April 2021, the temple is the second in the state and drew architectural inspiration from local Native American influences, such as organic chevron and diamond patterns, stepped pyramid shapes, geometric linework, and feather patterns.
Other notable features include the piñon pine cone and the globemallow flower, both local floral. These motifs are especially found in the millwork and the hardware of the temple. Keep scrolling down to see all the photos of the interior!

In 1885, the San Juan stake (similar to a diocese) was organized, composed of congregations in Farmington and areas nearby. More than 69,000 Latter-day Saints in nearly 140 congregations call New Mexico home today.”
