LDS Church Releases New Video of Joseph Smith’s First Vision

A new video produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shows the First Vision, one of the most sacred moments in the Church’s history, in a brand new light.

The video is entitled Ask of God – Joseph Smith’s First Vision. Unlike other video depictions, which have used the most well-known account found in the Pearl of Great Price, this new video uses all nine accounts of the First Vision as inspiration. You can learn more about the different accounts of the First Vision here. The video was shot on location in Palmyra, New York, where the First Vision occurred.

This is the first time this video has been available on traditional screens; it has been playing at a special Church History Museum Exhibit since October 2015, where it is shown in a special 240-degree surround format.
