The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the location of the Yorba Linda California Temple. The temple was announced in April 2021 by President Russell M. Nelson and will be the ninth temple in the state.
The Yorba Linda California Temple will be built on a 5.4-acre site located at the intersection of Bastanchury Road and Osmond Street in Yorba Linda. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 30,000 square feet. There are more than 21,000 Latter-day Saints in this temple district.
Detailed design plans for this temple are still being developed. Project leaders will soon start working with city officials in this location on preliminary plans for the temple. Groundbreaking dates have not been set.
