According to a news release posted on the Church’s official website, a multicultural choir will perform at the April 2020 General Conference, which will be “unique” and “unforgettable” according to President Russell M. Nelson. Though few details have been released, this choir is our first glimpse at what is to come.
Those who wish to apply to sing in the choir can do so with a new online form. You must be at least 18 years of age and be able to attend all choir rehearsals. The rehearsals will be held Sunday evenings from 6-8 PM on February 23, March 1, March 8, March 15, March 22, and March 29, 2020, in Riverton, Utah. If you are unable to attend the rehearsals, you may also note interest in other service opportunities to help with the choir. The form asks about past choir experience, your preferred vocal parts, and why you want to be a part of the choir, among other things.
Your application must be submitted by February 5 at noon. All applicants will receive an email notification on February 14 to let them know if they’ve been selected or not.
