New Video: Talking About Sexual Abuse & Finding Hope

New Video: Talking About Sexual Abuse & Finding Hope

A new video from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints touches on the tender topic of sexual abuse and the vital need to talk about it.

It features Ally, who shares how her spirit broke when her closest, most trusted friend molested her. She couldn’t bring herself to tell anyone—mostly because she didn’t want to believe it happened.

During therapy, Ally realized being sexually abused wasn’t her fault, and she was encouraged to share what happened. As she talked with family and friends, she felt a burst of hope and healing. And she felt God’s unending love for her.

If you have been the victim of any form of abuse or know someone who has, visit this site to learn more about the Church’s resources of healing and hope
