Photos Show Salt Lake City Temple Interior as Renovations Begin

The Salt Lake City Temple closed in December 2019 to begin a four-year-long renovation and remodeling project. Now, photos released by the Church Newsroom show the temple in a new light as the interior furnishings are carefully packaged and removed before construction officially begins.

The major renovations will focus on earthquake stabilization, restoring paintings, completely reworking the grounds and visitor centers, and more. Watch the video below to learn more about the process. Thanks to our friends at Mormon Life Hacker for alerting us to this story.
