President Eyring Says We Can #HearHim Through Others

In a new #HearHim video, President Henry B. Eyring of the First Presidency says that we can sometimes hear God through the counsel and guidance of others.

Sharing how his mother’s counsel often guided him, he said, “There are people like that … people that you sort of know are in touch with Heaven.”

In the accompanying blog article, President Eyring said that anyone can hear Him by following the pattern of the Prophet Joseph Smith’s First Vision with Deity, through the promise of the companionship of the Holy Ghost, and by eliminating distractions.

“You will need to pray and work in faith to put the words of truth down into your heart,” he said. “You must pray that God will bless you with His Spirit, that He will lead you into all truth and show you the right way.”

The video and blog are part of the “How I Hear Him” series, in which leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints share thoughts and experiences about how Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ speak to us.
