On June 12, 2022, a special broadcast, Teaching in the Savior’s Way, will be made available through multiple viewing platforms. It will feature Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and is especially for “all members of the Church who teach either in their calling or in their home.” However, the principles Elder Uchtdorf will cover are applicable to all members who want to become better teachers in whatever capacity they may be in. He will focus on “principles meant to help every member find joy and success in teaching the gospel and increase their ability to better teach in the Savior’s way.”
The pre-recorded broadcast will be available indefinitely on YouTube and in the Gospel Library app starting June 12. It will also run for two weeks on the Church’s broadcast page and can be viewed during scheduled times on the Church’s satellite systems in meetinghouses. Contact your local leaders to learn more information.
Leaders are encouraged to schedule a time for members who may benefit from the broadcast to view it together, such as in a teacher council meeting.
In the official manual used by church teachers, it states, “The goal of every gospel teacher—every parent, every formally called teacher, every home teacher and visiting teacher, and every follower of Christ—is to teach the pure doctrine of the gospel, by the Spirit, in order to help God’s children build their faith in the Savior and become more like Him.”
