1878: In Farmington, Utah, Aurelia Rogers holds the first meeting of the Primary.
1939: President M. Douglas Wood, president of the West German Mission, telegraphs missionaries serving in Germany to immediately leave the country for Holland, just a week before the outbreak of World War II.
1990: Mugisa James Collins, the first convert to the Church in the central African country of Uganda, is baptized.
