Here’s your daily dose of what matters most!
Some days, it’s hard to tell whether we’re anxiously engaged in a good cause or just anxious about doing enough. True discipleship invites steady, Spirit-led action—not frantic striving to prove our worth.
Scripture
“Verily I say, men should be anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will, and bring to pass much righteousness.”—Doctrine and Covenants 58:27
Quote
“There is a difference between being “anxiously engaged” and being over-anxious and thus underengaged.”—Neal A. Maxwell

Living the Principle: Are You Anxiously Engaged, Or Just Anxious?
- Schedule one quiet hour each week to prayerfully evaluate your commitments—identify which efforts are led by the Spirit and which are driven by fear or pressure.
- Replace one “checklist” task with a meaningful act of service you feel prompted to do, even if it’s small or unplanned.
- Before starting your day, pray with intent to be anxiously engaged in God’s work—not just your own—and then write down one inspired action to focus on.
