The Lord has warned against waiting to be compelled and directed at every turn, urging us instead to act with wisdom, faith, and initiative. Asking ourselves if we are commanded in all things invites us to reflect on whether we trust God enough to move forward with the light we’ve already been given.

Living the Principle: Are You Commanded in All Things?
- Pray for confirmation, not just direction: Before asking what to do, act on what you already know is right—then seek the Spirit’s confirmation to move forward with peace.
- Make an “initiative list”: Write down one or two good causes you feel prompted to pursue without waiting for someone else to assign them.
- Study patterns in scripture: Choose one gospel principle and find examples of how it was lived out in the lives of prophets, then apply that pattern to your own decisions.
