1857: The Illustrated London News publishes a drawing of the proposed Salt Lake Tempe, a sketch that will be reproduced for decades as the temple slowly moves towards completion in 1893.
1979: The first converts on the Canary Islands are baptized.
1997: Elder Richard G. Scott breaks ground for the Boston Massachusetts Temple.
