Christlike compassion shows up when we refuses to stand at a distance from another’s grief and instead allows that sorrow to reach our own hearts. It grows out of real love, crosses every boundary, and moves people to feel deeply with others rather than explain away their pain.

Living the Principle: Christlike Compassion
- When someone shares a loss or burden, stop what you are doing, sit close, and listen without interrupting or correcting their feelings; allow their sorrow to affect you instead of rushing to solve it.
- Reach across a boundary you normally keep by initiating a conversation with someone outside your usual circle, learn their story, and respond with a concrete offer of help such as bringing a meal, driving them to an appointment, or assisting with a task they mention.
- Pay attention to visible signs of distress in your community and act on what you notice by sending a sincere message, making a call, or showing up at their door to express care in person.
