This Day in LDS History

1829: Oliver Cowdery baptizes Joseph Smith’s younger brother Samuel at Harmony, Pennsylvania. Samuel is the third person baptized in this dispensation, following Oliver Cowdery and Joseph Smith on May 15.
1906: President Joseph F. Smith purchases the press on which the first edition of the Book of Mormon was printed.
1935: The Brazilian Mission is organized.
1984: President Gordon B. Hinckley of the First Presidency dedicates the Boise Idaho Temple.
