1919: Gordon B. Hinckley is baptized at eight years of age, location unknown. Of the site he states: “It’s the only secret I have left! It was done by proper authority in a proper place.”
1999: Some five thousand Latter-day Saint Women gather at BYU in what is called the largest humanitarian event held by the Church in a single setting. Participants donate approximately 6,955 service hours making hygiene kits and other items for needy families.
