NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center manages the telescope. The Space Telescope Science Institute conducts Hubble science operations. Goddard is responsible for HST project management, including mission and science operations, servicing missions, and all associated development activities.

This Day in LDS History

1839: In company with a small group of Saints, Emma Smith leaves Far West, Missouri to join the main body of Saints gathering in Quincy, Illinois.
1846: Brigham Young, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, finishes administering temple blessings in the Nauvoo Temple as the Saints prepare to move west. Over 5,600 Saints were endowed in the temple before the exodus.
1901: Lorenzo Snow dedicates LDS Business College in Salt Lake City.
