1858: President Brigham Young supervises the evacuation of the northern Utah settlements as the United States Army, led by Albert Sidney Johnston, prepares to enter the territory during the “Utah War.”
1912: In an effort to prevent the transmission of germs, Church leaders encourage local congregations to use individual sacrament cups instead of the “common cup.”
1953: The first converts in Honduras are baptized.
