1865: The Saints in Salt Lake City join the nation in celebrating the reinauguration of United States president Abraham Lincoln.
1902: On the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, Elder Francis M. Lyman, president of the European Mission, rededicates the Holy Land for the gathering of the Jews.
1925: The Church Missionary Home and Preparatory Training School opens in Salt Lake City for the training of new missionaries.
