1962: President David O. McKay breaks ground for the Oakland Temple (later the Oakland California Temple).
1991: The San Francisco de Macoris Dominican Republic Stake, the eighteen thousandth stake of the Church, is organized.
1996: President Gordon B. Hinckley dedicates the Hong Kong Temple.
