1874: During general conference President Brigham Young organizes the united order in the Salt Lake City wards. Over the course of the following months, the order is organized in dozens of towns throughout the territory.
1998: The Church announces plans to build temples in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Fukuoka, Japan; Suva, Fiji; Ciudad, Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; and Kona, Hawaii.
