Here’s your daily dose of what matters most!

When we face a problem we cannot solve or a weakness we cannot overcome, prayer should guide what we do next. Let’s consider whether we have sincerely asked God for help and made room for His direction.

Scripture

“And I said unto them: Have ye inquired of the Lord?”—1 Nephi 15:8

Quote

“Each of us has problems that we cannot solve and weaknesses that we cannot conquer without reaching out through prayer to a higher source of strength.”—James E. Faust, “The Lifeline of Prayer”

Living the Principle: Did You Think to Pray?

  • Begin the day with prayer before distractions take over. Ask God for the specific help you need.
  • Pause and pray when a problem leaves you unsure what to do. Listen for direction before taking the next step.
  • End the day by thanking God for His help. Notice how He strengthened or guided you throughout the day.
