1927: Robert E. Wells, later a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, is born in Las Vegas, Nevada.
1946: Francisco J. Vinas, later a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, is born in Montevideo, Uruguay.
1998: A major revision of the Church Handbook of Instructions is completed, bringing priesthood and auxiliary leader guides together for the first time in a two-volume handbook, replacing thirty earlier handbooks and publications.
