1902: Professor James H. Linford becomes the first president of the Brigham young College Society of American Archaeology in Logan. The Society’s mission is to study the Book of Mormon from a scientific perspective.
1952: The State of Nebraska opens the Mormon Pioneer Memorial Bridge in Florence, Nebraska.
1959: Johnny ‘John” Whitaker, later a child actor and co-star of such TV series and motion pictures as Family Affair and Tom Sawyer, is born in Van Nuys, California.
