1851: The Kula Branch, the first branch in Hawaii, is organized on the island of Maui.
1955: Elder Gary E. Stevenson is born in Ogden, Utah.
1993: Tomas Tomasson, the ambassador of Iceland, presents Iceland’s highest honor, the Order of the Falcon, to Byron T. Geslison, who served three missions to the country and reopened missionary work there in 1975.
