Three Fun Facts for Elder Soares’ Birthday

  • His first Church meetings were above a bakery. He remembers enjoying the smell of fresh bread during services.
  • Elder Soares and his wife, Rosana, served in the Brazil Rio de Janeiro Mission and reconnected at a dance afterward. He had served as her zone leader.
  • His fast typing skills helped him land a payroll job and save for his mission. For three years, he bought one item each month, gradually gathering shirts, pants, socks, ties, and a suitcase.
