1834: Five Missouri vigilantes visit Zion’s Camp, swearing the camp will be destroyed that night. As the men leave, the previously cloudless sky becomes stormy, causing the Fishing River and the Little Fishing River to rise more than forty feet in one night, deterring the planned attack.
1836: Lorenzo Snow is baptized in the Chagrin River near Kirtland, Ohio (He is 22 years old).
