1953: President David O. McKay dedicates the site for the London Temple (later the London England Temple).
1996: Groundbreaking for the temple in Guayaquil, Ecuador is completed. The temple is dedicated 3 years later.
1997: President Gordon B. Hinckley, the first Church President to visit Paraguay, addresses 7,000 members In Paraguay, some of whom have traveled up to nine hours to attend the meeting.
