Here’s your daily dose of what matters most!

A mighty change of heart begins when we let God reshape what we desire, not just what we do. Once that change starts, we need to protect it through steady repentance, honest self-examination, and daily choices that keep our hearts turned toward Him.

Scripture

“And now behold, I ask of you, my brethren of the church, have ye spiritually been born of God? Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?”Alma 5:14

Quote

“Just as with heart transplant patients, however, this mighty change of our spiritual hearts is just the beginning. Repentance, baptism, and confirmation are necessary but not sufficient. Indeed, equal, if not greater, care must be taken with a spiritually changed heart than with a physically transplanted heart if we are to endure to the end. Only by doing so can we be held guiltless at the time of judgment.”—Dale G. Renlund, “Preserving the Heart’s Mighty Change”

Living the Principle: Have You Experienced a Mighty Change of Heart?

  • Set aside a few quiet minutes today to ask what desire, habit, or attitude God is inviting you to change.
  • Choose one specific act of repentance this week, such as apologizing, correcting a mistake, or letting go of a resentment.
  • End each day by noticing one choice that kept your heart turned toward God and one choice you want to handle differently tomorrow.
