This Day in Church History
1928: President Charles W. Nibley of the First Presidency dedicates the Moscow Institute Building, which is located adjacent to the University of Idaho campus. It is the first institute building in the Church. A year earlier, J. Wyley Sessions began the program with 57 students.
1951: Jackson Stewart Horsley, later an Olympic bronze medalists in swimming at the 1968 Mexico City games, is born in Salt Lake City, Utah.
1984: President Gordon B. Hinckley dedicates the Manila Philippines Temple.
