Here’s your daily dose of what matters most!
When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, we can turn to Jesus Christ for peace that steadies us even before our circumstances change. What would help us rely more fully on His Atonement today instead of waiting for the storm around us to settle?
Scripture
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”—Mark 4:39
Quote
“The Savior teaches us how to feel peace and calm even when the winds blow fiercely around us and billowing waves threaten to sink our hopes.”—Lisa L. Harkness, “Peace, Be Still”

Living the Principle: How to Find Peace In The World
- When worry starts to build, pause and pray specifically for peace, strength, and help trusting Jesus Christ.
- Choose one fear or uncertainty to place in the Lord’s hands instead of mentally rehearsing everything that could go wrong.
- Make space each day for a few quiet minutes of prayer, scripture study, or reflection that helps refocus attention on Jesus Christ.

This Day in Church History
1844: Brigham Young is transfigured and has the appearance of Joseph Smith. That afternoon, the Saints vote to sustain the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as the leaders of the Church.
1974: U.S. President Richard M. Nixon announces his resignation. Several Saints played a significant role, including D. Todd Christofferson, law clerk to Judge John J. Sirica. Christofferson and Sirica were the first to hear the Nixon tapes, which resulted in the president’s resignation.
