1801: Heber C. Kimball, later a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and First Presidency, is born in Sheldon, Vermont.
1828: Joseph Smith completes the translation of the Book of Lehi and gives Martin Harris the 116-page manuscript so that Harris can show his family in Palmyra
