Scripture

“Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy.” —2 Nephi 2:25

Quote

“Lasting joy is found in focusing on our Savior, Jesus Christ, and living the gospel as demonstrated and taught by Him. The more we learn about, have faith in, and emulate Jesus Christ, the more we come to understand that He is the source of all healing, peace, and eternal progress.” Jean B. Bingham

This Day in LDS History

1883: Paul Haslinger, the first convert in Austria, is baptized.
1925: Russell C. Taylor, later a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, is born in Red Mesa, Colorado
1967: Elder Spencer W. Kimball visits northern Brazil on a fact-finding assignment to determine whether to expand or cut back missionary activity in the area. Within a year, a new mission is created, and later, as a result of President Kimball’s Revelation on priesthood, northern Brazil becomes one of the most successful missionary fields in the church.
