1837: Heber C. Kimball and six others arrived in Liverpool, England, on the first overseas mission.
1876: Joseph Fielding Smith, tenth President of the Church, is born in Salt Lake City.
1975: The Church and its Bonneville Productions receive a national advertising award (“Clio”) for its “Homefront” advertising on television.
