1884: The Turkish mission is organized.
1973: Spencer W. Kimball is ordained and set apart as the twelfth President of the Church, with N. Eldon Tanner and Marion G. Romney as Counselors.
1979: The Church organizes the first branch on La Reunion, a Volcanic island in the Indian ocean.
