1843 While visiting the Saints in Ramus, Illinois, Joseph Smith gives instruction on such topics such as the nature of the Godhead, intelligence, and obedience, found today in D&C 130.
1982 Church announces changes in the financing of Church meetinghouses. Construction costs are to be paid by general Church funds, whereas utility costs are to be borne by local units.
1990 The Church releases FamilySearch, a new software package, in an effort to simplify the task of family history research.
