1843: Orrin Porter Rockwell, after nearly ten months of imprisonment in Missouri, arrives at the home of Joseph Smith in the midst of a Christmas party. The overwhelmed Prophet joyfully receives his old friend.
1914: The First Presidency asks members of the Church to donate money to relieve suffering of victims of the ‘Great War’ (World War I), being waged in Europe.
1925:Nineteen days after organizing the South American Mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Elder Melvin J. Ballard dedicates South America for the preaching of the gospel.
