1877 With more than twelve hundred Saints present, President Brigham Young dedicates the lower portion of the St. George Temple, the first temple to be used since the Nauvoo Era.
1977 The First Presidency announces that general conferences will be held the first Saturday and Sunday of each April and October and on the preceding Saturdays.
2000 The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve issue “The Living Christ: The Testimony of the Apostles,” an official declaration reaffirming their personal testimonies of the Savior.
