1835 Michael H. Chandler arrives in Kirtland to display four Egyptian mummies and some scrolls of papyrus containing hieroglyphics. These are later purchased, and by revelation Joseph translates the Book of Abraham from the preserved items.
1955 The South Australian Mission is organized.
1973 The Michigan Mission is organized.
1999 Ground is broken for the Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple.
