1848: Elder Orson Hyde rebaptizes Oliver Cowdery in Mosquito Creek near Council Bluffs, Iowa. Cowdery had been alienated from the church for over ten years.
1888: Jacob Spori is appointed the first principal (president) of the Fremont or Bannock Stake Academy (the Forerunner to Ricks College) In Rexburg, Idaho.
1988: Ricks College women’s cross-country team wins its first national title.
